Hi fellow dancers, we are Jenny and Clement, two dance addicts in Sydney, Australia, with a combined dance addiction of over 13 years, including teaching together for Latin Motion Dance Academy for the past 3 years, as well as performing at Sydney Salsa Congress, LA Salsa Congress, Barcardi Festival Darling Harbour, and various other events in Australia.

Having experienced the pains of expensive and uncomfortable dance shoes, we decided to bring our own brand of dance shoes to our fellow dancers.

As dancers, we are very particular with what we want in quality, comfort and style; and having always paid in the hundreds for one pair of dance shoes, and having heard so many fellow dancers complain about prices and comfort, we decided that we shall bring everyone the best possible in quality, comfort and style, at a most affordable price range.

Hence in May 2006, with this aim in mind, JQDance was born. At first we sold through Major dance schools in Sydney, Perth and Byron Bay, and was extremely well received by student dancers, instructors and performers. In July 2006, we started selling dance shoes on ebay, and has maintained a 100% positive buyers feedback rating since.

Our ebay customer-base covers the whole of Australia, as well as stretching to the Netherlands, Italy, UK, Singapore and USA. Having participated in various national and international Salsa events such as the Byron Bay Latin Fiesta, West Coast Salsa Congress in Perth, and the Sydney Salsa Congress, JQDance the brand is growing ever more popular, and we are looking to establish distributing points in Melbourne and Brisbane in the very near future.

Because we are fussy with shoes for ourselves, we are fussy with the shoes that we are going to share with our fellow dancers. Therefore, we are devoted to bringing to you quality, stylish and comfortable dance shoes and products at very affordable prices.

All our dance shoes are ergonomically made to adhere to the natural curve of the feet while being extremely soft and flexible, as well as having thick sole padding to cushion the impact of vigorous dancing. With dance shoes starting from well below $100 to just over $100, our shoes are less than half of what people normally pay for one pair of dance shoes in other shops.

Jenny being a typical girl, LOVES shoes and boots, so with this addiction to fashion, we brought dance boots into Australia. The stretch velvet dance boots are like socks that are so comfortable, that dancers don’t want to take them off the moment they put them on; and the leather dance boots are stylish, comfortable and very fashionable, and were featured on the Dancing with the Stars TV show. All these quality, comfort and fashion, are still cheaper than one pair of dance shoes from some other brands. As well as bringing dance comfort to fellow dancers, we’re proud to have been one of the sponsors for the Breast Cancer Foundation at the 2007 Sydney Salsa Congress.

With Jenny and Clement both being passionate long term donors for various charities, we look forward to involve JQDance in/with more charity events and organisations from this year onwards. As we step into our second year of sharing our passion for dance fashion, we’re proud to be the major sponsor of one of the most renowned national events, the Australian Salsa Classic, the only official qualifier for the World Salsa Championships in Las Vegas.
